A SELF-help neighbours’ group for residents in the Crymych and Eglwyswrw area has now been set up.

Leaflets are being distributed throughout the area and local Pembrokeshire county councillor Cris Tomos said: “We will have 10 coordinators covering the ward and then the coordinators will be handing the leaflets to about six volunteers in their teams.

“We will then ensure those who need help and support in the ward know that there is a person to contact should they need help with deliveries. Thanks also to E L Jones in Cardigan for printing the initial batch for free and the Boomerang printers in Crymych for their support with the latest version.

“I know of so many other villages and towns that are also having such a great response from local volunteers who are ensuring all vulnerable and self-isolating people have the support and a number to dial if they need help.

“Our aim is to be there for lonely and vulnerable individuals to know that they have friendly and supportive neighbours to be there for them and for them to talk to at this difficult time.”
