A CARDIGAN driver must pay nearly £800 and has had his licence endorsed for speeding and overtaking on a double white line at Aberystwyth.
Kevin James Harrison, of Y Rhos, Cardigan, found the two charges against him proved under the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
He was found guilty of driving a BMW at 50mph in a 30mph zone at Heol y Bont, Penparcau, Aberystwyth while overtaking a van on solid white lines on January 20.
The 57-year-old was fined a total of £660, along with prosecution costs of £85 and a £44 victim surcharge. Harrison’s licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
