A CARDIGAN shoplifter has been handed a conditional discharge by the courts and ordered to pay compensation.
Rebecca Giles, of Aberystwyth Road, Cardigan, pleaded guilty to stealing Sarah Jessica Parker perfume, a Nitty Gritty comb and Lyclear lotion from Boots in Cardigan on February 4 when she appeared at Aberystwyth Justice Centre
Magistrates imposed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered the 33-year-old to pay £74.95 in compensation, along with £85 costs and a £21 victim surcharge.
