A NEWCASTLE Emlyn drug-driver has been banned from the roads for 12 months.
Curtis Zac Jones, of Market Square, Newcastle Emlyn, was caught while driving an MG on an unclassified road between Llanpumsaint and Bancyffordd on August 4.
He tested positive for Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis). He gave a reading of 8.5 microgrammes per litre of blood. The legal limit is 2 microgrammes.
The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to drug-driving when he appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
As well as the 12-month driving ban, Jones was fined £120, with £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
