A LLANDYSUL man who was more than double the legal drink-drive limit has been hit with a 20-month driving ban.
Gareth John Davies, of Velindre, Llandysul, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Astra on an unclassified road through Drefach Felindre on January 15 while above the prescribed alcohol limit.
The 50-year-old had 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
As well as the 20-month driving ban, magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre fined Davies £120, along with £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
