A MOTORIST has been handed a four-year ban and a community service order after admitting dangerous driving at Newcastle Emlyn and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Tom Bright, of Drefach Felindre, Llandysul, pleaded guilty at Aberystwyth Justice Centre to dangerous driving on the A475 at High Street, Newcastle Emlyn on August 17 at 12.40am and he also admitted refusing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis when suspected of committing an offence.
Bright was driving a Rover 45 which smashed into a telegraph pole, completely knocking it out of the ground.
As well as a four-year ban, the 39-year-old must also serve a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement up to a maximum of 10 days, as well as 200 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
