A MAN is to stand trial accused of sexually assaulting a woman at Newcastle Emlyn and threatening a man with a knife.
Shamsul Alam, of Crescent Road, East Ham, Newham, London, pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting the woman on September 22. He also denied carrying a knife in a public place and threatening another man with it on the same date.
Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre remanded 54-year-old Alam on conditional bail to stand trial at Swansea crown court on February 21 or on a date directed by the court.
