THE annual Poppit Sands New year's Day swim in the sea proved as popular as ever.
Organised by Poppit Sands Surf Lifesaving Club, hundreds of hardy souls once again turned up to blow away the festive cobwebs and welcome in the new year with a dip in the freezing cold water.
And Tivyside photographer Julie John was there to capture all the fun.
