A FLOOD alert has been issued for the Cardigan are later on today and over the weekend.
The warning from Natural Resources Wales (NRW) covers the tidal area of the River Teifi and runs all the way up the Ceredigion coastline to Borth.
The NRW warning says: High tides are predicted tonight (Friday, December 13) at approximately 8pm and over the weekend, starting from the morning high tide of Saturday, December 14 at approximately 8am through to the evening tide of Sunday, December 15 at approximately 10pm.
The winds is forecast to be force 8 from a westerly direction. Offshore waves are expected to be moderate. Be careful on beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths, roads, and low-lying land, close to the sea or estuary.
