A PENCADER man has handed a suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to an assault.
Russell David Fraser, of Llanfihangel ar Arth, pleaded guilty at Llanelli Magistrates Court to the assault on May 9 after previously denying the charge.
Magistrates imposed a 15-week prison term, suspended for 18 months, along with a rehabilitation order. The 23-year-old must also carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay compensation of £150, costs of £500 and a £115 victim surcharge.
Fraser was sentenced to a further three weeks in prison suspended for 18 months to run consecutively with the other jail sentence for breach of an earlier conditional discharge.
