A LLANDYSUL driver has been fined after admitting towing a trailer with a dangerous load.
Paul Lloyd Jones, of Prengwyn, Capel Dewi, Llandysul, pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure to carrying a load of wooden posts on a trailer which was likely to cause a danger or nuisance at Lampeter on August 2.
The 34-year-old also pleaded guilty at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court to having a defective tyre on the trailer; failing to have a device fitted that would stop the trailer if it became detached from the vehicle and failing to have a registration plate fixed to the rear of the trailer.
Jones was fined a total of £355, along with £85 prosecution costs and a £32 victim surcharge. Three penalty points were added to his driving licence.
