A PARCLLYN van driver has been fined £300 for failing to have insurance.

James Barnett, of Erwlas, Parcllyn, pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court to driving a Ford Transit at Hilltop Way, Aberporth, on July 25 without insurance.

The 33-year-old was fined £300 with £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge, along with his driving licence being endorsed with six penalty points.

Barnett also admitted to failing to wear a seatbelt but no separate penalty was imposed.
