A LLANDYSUL man must pay more than £800 in a fine and costs for failing to reveal to police the identity of a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Olaf Hibbins, of The Beeches, Llandysul, found the case against him proved under the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

The 41-year-old was fined £660, along with costs of £85 and a £66 victim surcharge. Six penalty points were added to his licence.

A charge of driving at 43mph in a 30mph zone in a BMW X5 at Cardigan Road, Newcastle Emlyn, on June 18 was withdrawn.
