A Mydroilyn man has been jailed for 26 weeks and banned from entering any pub in Ceredigion for a year following a series of early evening incidents in New Quay.
Jamie Davies, aged 32, was jailed for 18 weeks after he appeared at Aberystwyth Justice Centre to admit using threatening words and behaviour towards Jamie Howell on May 5.
He was jailed for a further eight weeks after pleading guilty to assaulting Berwyn Thomas by beating during the incident at the Black Lion pub.
He was also jailed for 26 weeks – to run concurrently with his other sentences – for assaulting police sergeant Weller by beating in the wake of the incident. He also admitted two charges of resisting arrest, for which he received no separate penalty.
Davies also admitted being drunk and disorderly at 6.15pm.
Davies was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
