THE first Vintage Threshing and Working Day was recently held in memory of the late Gareth Thomas at Awenfryn, Glanrhyd, near Cardigan by kind permission of the Evans family and in association with The Teifi Valley Vintage Club.
Well in excess of 100 people attended to see a wide variety of tractors crawlers and implements being used to plough and cultivate the land and giving novices the opportunity to learn new skills.
There was a static display of vintage cars, trucks, tractors and engines in addition to a threshing demonstration, barley cutting with a binder and trailed combine.
Proceeds from the day will be donated to The British Heart Foundation and Cardigan Co-responders.
