A DISQUALIFIED motorist who had left court, got into his car and drove away has been sent to prison for 12 weeks.
Graham Harold Bell, of Llangainan, St Clears, Carmarthenshire, appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre where he was charged with driving while disqualified on the A487 at Penparc on May 2.
The 69-year-old denied the offence, while also pleading not guilty to having no insurance but was found guilty on both counts.
As well as the 12-week jail term, Bell was banned from driving for 20 months. He was also ordered to pay a £120 victim surcharge.
