AN Aberporth company is up for two awards at the inaugural Mid Wales Tourism Awards.

Designed to celebrate and showcase the region’s exceptional tourism industry, the biennial awards have 42 finalists in 13 categories, with the winners to be revealed on October 17.

Amy Williams, from West Wales Holiday Cottages, Aberporth, has been nominated in the ‘Young Tourism Person of the Year’ which is designed to recognise young entrepreneurial, professional and business talents aged 30 years and under.

West Wales Holiday Cottages is also up for the ‘Tourism Innovation Award’, along with another local business, Ty Cwch at Llandysul.

Epic Fishing Ltd, at New Quay, has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Activity or Experience’ category

Award winners and finalists may be selected to represent the region at the Wales National Tourism Awards in March 2020.
