DYFED-Powys Police is investigating a one-car collision at High Street, Newcastle Emlyn, which occurred at around 12.40am on Saturday, August 17.
A blue Rover 45 collided with a telegraph pole, completely severing it from the ground.
There was a large crowd in the street when police arrived at the scene and officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision, or saw the car being driven that night.
