ST Cynllo's Church at Coed-y-Bryn will be taking part in the annual Churches and Chapels on the air (CHOTA) on Saturday, September 14 between 10am-4pm.

The event sees amateur radio clubs all over the UK set up shortwave radio stations on a chosen day in September at specially-chosen church locations and broadcast to other operators as a way of letting people all over the country and internationally too, know about these beautiful sacred sites.

This event is also a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in amateur radio as a hobby to come along and see how it works in action.

The church will be using the radio call sign GB2SCC and hoping to make lots of contacts on the HF radio bands. For further information on how to find St Cynllo's Church and participate in this live event, go to www.stcynlloschurch.co.uk
