A LLANYBYDDER driver has appeared in court to make a statutory declaration following conviction for speeding and failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver.
Margaret Elizabeth Gwenllian Thomas, of Ty Mawr, Llanybydder, pleaded guilty at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court to speeding on the A478 at Carmel, Carmarthenshire, on February 26. She was recorded driving a Land Rover Discovery at 37mph in a 30mph zone.
The charge of failing to identify the driver of a vehicle alleged to have committed an offence was withdrawn by the court.
The 50-year-old was fined £40 with £85 prosecution costs and a £30 victim surcharge. Three penalty points were added to her licence.
