A speeding driver has gained four penalty points and been ordered to pay £467.
Christopher William Davies, of Dinas Trelech, was due to stand trial at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Monday, August 12, but pleaded guilty to exceeding a 30mph limit at the start of the hearing.
A charge of failing to provide information about the identity of the driver was dismissed by the bench.
The court heard that Davies was caught driving a Mercedes at 47mph in a 30mph limit on the A484 at Rhos, Llandysul, on January 10.
Davies, 54, who represented himself, said: “There is no mitigation. I should not have been speeding, and I was. I can only apologise. I have held a clean driving licence for ten years.”
Magistrates fined Davies £315 and ordered him to pay £152 in costs and a surcharge.
Four penalty points were added to his licence.
