A LLANFYRNACH biker crashed into the back of another vehicle on the A477 at Llanteg, Narberth, a court has been told.
Martin Kraus pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention when he appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
Kraus was riding his Honda motorcycle on April 20 in a line of traffic heading east on the A477, the court heard.
A number of the vehicles ahead had to brake heavily to allow an overtaking vehicle back into the eastbound lane. All the other vehicles were able to stop, however Kraus was unable to do so and collided with the rear of a Vauxhall Mokka.
The 37-year-old was thrown from his motorcycle, landing on the grass verge. As a result of the collision he sustained sprains, bruises and grazing.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained a slight back injury and a passenger in the other vehicle sustained a whiplash injury. Damage was caused to the defendant’s motorcycle front forks and fairing. The Vauxhall Mokka sustained damage to its rear.
Kraus was fined £267, along with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge. Five penalty points were added to his licence.
