A CARDIGAN drug-driver has been banned from the roads for three years.
Ashley Davies, of Bowls Road, Blaenporth, Cardigan, was driving a Vauxhall Vivaro on the A487 coast road at Tremain on Sunday, March 14 when he was stopped.
He tested positive for benzoylecgonine, the compound tested for in cocaine analysis. Davies had 225 micrograms per litre of blood. The legal limit is 50 micrograms.
The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to drug-driving when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre and a s well as a three-year ban, Davies was also fined £333 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £33 victim surcharge.
