YOUNGSTERS from Ysgol Gynradd Aberporth gave their views on plans for a new village hall.

The children were invited to the village hall to voice their opinion on plans to replace the existing 85-year-old building.

Their ideas included more activities including archery, basketball and tap dancing plus more eco- friendly equipment such as bike racks and energy-efficient heating.

But they all agreed that having a village hall was important for the community – and they wanted the new building to have some character.

Village hall project officer Sue Lewis said: “It is so important to get the views of the younger generation – after all it will be their hall for a long time in the future.”

Questionnaires are available at both the village hall and Canolfan Dyffryn plus village groups and societies will also be asked for their views during the summer.
