A LEISURE fishing boat with two people on board was washed aground on rocks after suffering engine failure near Aberaeron yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, July 3).
Both the all-weather lifeboat and inshore lifeboat were launched from New Quay at 2.24pm when the alarm was raised.
The boat was pulled off the rocks by the inshore boat and was then towed to New Quay by the all-weather boat, with the salvage pump at the ready in case of any damage to the vessel's hull.
