A DISQUALIFIED Cardigan driver caught by police has been issued with a community order and a further seven month driving ban.

Ethan Davies, of William Street, Cardigan, was caught driving a Subaru Impreza while disqualified on the B43421 at Oakford, Ceredigion on June 11.

The 21-year-old pleaded guilty when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre. He also admitted driving without insurance, driving without an MOT certificate and also failing to answer bail to appear at an earlier hearing, for which an arrest warrant had been issued.

As well as the seven-month driving ban, Davies was ordered to serve a community rehabilitation order for up to a maximum of 10 days and to carry out 40 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. He also has to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
