AN exhibition of old photographs from the past 150 years of the village and people of Beulah, Newcastle Emlyn will go on display in the village for four days from Thursday to Sunday, July 11-14.

Close on 400 photographs will be on view, all collected from local people by Gerwyn Morgan over the past 10 years.

They include many that were published in 2017 in his book 'Beulah – the story of a Ceredigion village and its people '. All copies of the book have been sold.

The photographs have been arranged under five headings – village life and work; the chapel; people and families; Beulah primary and nursery schools; and the village social scene.

The exhibition will be officially opened by Miss Menna Jones, formerly of the Post Office, Beulah, in Beulah Vestry/Hall at 7.30 pm on Thursday, July 11.

The exhibition will then remain open for the following three days - Friday, Saturday, July 12/13 from 10am till late and on Sunday afternoon July 14 from 2pm till late. Tea and coffee will be available.

Entry £2 and all proceeds will go towards the Ceredigion National Eisteddfod 2020. A warm welcome to everybody.
