Three senior officer roles will be restructured to take on more responsibilities following approval by Ceredigion County Council’s executive group.
Cabinet agreed that the corporate lead officer roles for adult service, children services and lifelong learning and culture roles will be changed as part of its integrated services delivery model – Porth Ceredigion.
At the meeting on June 11 council leader Cllr Ellen ap Gwynn said there had been a workshop for members to explain how the model will be developed.
It follows a review of all structures and service areas agreed in November 2017.
Proth Cynnal will provide a range of through age specialised services for all clients and will be lead by corporate lead officer Porth Cynnal and statutory director of social services, which is Carys James’ job, cabinet was told.
Retiring Elfyd Hopkins’ role will become Porth Ceredigion and deputy director of social services, the only role that will go out for advertising with any appointment to be approved by full council.
Early help and intervention services will be lead by Porth Cymorth Cynnar, community well-being and learning, with Elen James in post.
Cabinet approved the changes to the corporate lead officer roles and structure, as well as allowing the chief executive, Eifion Evans, to make minor amendments to the job titles as required.
