A Cardigan driver has been cleared of speeding after Dyfed-Powys Police failed to offer any evidence showing he was behind the wheel at the time of the offence.
Gareth William Owen, of Maesglas, denied driving a Volkswagen Golf along the A48 at Nantycaws at 2.41pm on November 11, 2018, at speeds of 82mph. The limit is 70mph.
Owen, 36, also denied failing to identify the driver at the time of the incident.
Llanelli magistrates dismissed the case when the Crown Prosecution Service offered no evidence to support the charges.
