CARDIGAN lifeboat was called out to help recover a cruiser that had broken free of its mooring on the River Teifi.
Milford haven Coastguard requested the launch of the inshore lifeboat on Friday evening (June 7) at 5.23pm to assist the cruiser which had ended up on the mud flats below Old Castle Farm,
The crew was paged and because of the state of the tide -low water at the time - the lifeboat was transported by road and launched from the Netpool slipway in Cardigan.
The lifeboat was on scene at 5.50pm and towed the cruiser off the mud flats and took it to the pontoon at the moorings, St Dogmaels where it was secured and the owners informed.
The lifeboat was recovered at the Netpool in Cardigan and returned to station by road. It was ready for service again at 7.22pm.
