THE number of potholes on main roads in the Cardigan area was raised at a meeting of the town council.

“I am concerned about the poor condition of several streets in the town,” said Cllr Catrin Miles.

“There are many potholes on Morgan Street and also at Brecon Terrace on the St Dogmaels road. I will be asking Ceredigion County Council what their programme of works is.”

Some of the potholes on Morgan Street were filled in a few weeks ago but the situation is not much better.

Cllr John Adams-Lewis said: “I mentioned Morgan Street before Barley Saturday and they filled in a few but it needs properly resurfacing. Maybe we might have more of a chance now that the M4 scheme around Newport has been scrapped!”
