A CALL has again gone out to clear tree trunks from the River Teifi near Cardigan bridge.
Cllr Graham Evans told a meeting of the town council that previous work carried out had made the situation worse, not better.
“I am very concerned about the trees in the river. These aren’t branches they are trunks and the work to clear them has only been half done – it’s dangerous,” he said.
“Before you could see them as the branches stuck out but now it’s not so easy and is dangerous for people in canoes and kayaks. This is specialised work and needs to be done correctly.”
