DYFED-Powys Police is appealing for information about a fatal collision in which a 31-year-old man died on the A486, next to Ffostrasol Football Club.

The incident happened at around 10pm last night (April 10) and involved a blue Ford Ranger, which was travelling from the direction of Synod Inn towards Llandysul.

The road was closed in both directions as police and fire crews from Aberaeron and New Quay were called to the incident. The fire and rescue service left the scene shortly after 3am.

A 31-year-old man, who was driving the vehicle, died at the scene. Nobody else was involved in the collision.

He has not yet been named but the man’s family and HM Coroner have been informed of his death.
