THE Cardigan area looks set for another spell of stormy weather this week with 65mph north-westerly winds expected during Tuesday evening and Wednesday with possible transport disruption.
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert warning and it is likely that coastal areas especially will be affected.
A Met Office spokesman said: “A spell of strong northwesterly winds is expected to extend across much of England and Wales through Wednesday.
“Gusts of up to 50-55 mph are likely inland and 65 mph along western coasts. Winds will gradually ease during the afternoon.”
“Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are likely and some short term loss of power and other services is possible. It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities are affected by spray and/or large waves.”
