DYFED-Powys police dog Thor played a key role in tracking down a suspect following a road traffic collision at Rhydlewis, Llandysul at approximately 9.30pm on Sunday (February 17).
A silver Vauxhall Corsa collided with a wall. A female passenger in the car was injured and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The male driver made off from the scene but thanks to keen-nosed Thor was soon tracked down to undergrowth about half a mile away from the incident in a search that also involved the police helicopter and other police officers.
A 30-year old male was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and later released under investigation.
