A LLANDYSUL man found guilty of assaulting a woman and threatening behaviour on New Year’s Day must pay fines and costs of £1,000.
Simon Phillips, of Coednant, Rhydlewis, Llandysul, had denied assaulting the woman at Adpar, Newcastle Emlyn, on January 1 and a charge of using or threatening unlawful violence towards another.
However, magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre found the 30-year-old guilty on both counts.
Phillips was fined a total of £350, along with costs of £620 and a £30 victim surcharge.
