A MAN whole stole a mobile phone from a shop in Cardigan must pay £460 in fines, costs and compensation.
Steven David Whitfield, of Williams Row, Cardigan, admitted to stealing a Galaxy S6 mobile phone worth £180 from Console Crazy on May 17 last year.
Forty-four-year-old Whitfield had previously denied the charge but changed his plea to guilty when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
Williams was fined £100 and told to pay £180 compensation, along with £150 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
