A DRINK-driver who was more than double the legal limit has been banned from the roads for 18 months.
John Lyn Owens, of Glynarthen, Llandysul, was stopped by police while driving a Nissan Nivara on an unclassified road at Glynarthen on August 2. He had 203 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrammes.
The 59-year-old pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
As well as an 18-month ban, Owens was fined £140 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
