THIS year’s Poppit Sands New Year’s Day swim in the sea proved more popular than ever.
On a relatively mild day, about 150 people – and pets - from around the Cardigan area braved the icy waters, with hundreds more on the beach to watch them take the plunge.
The event was started at exactly 2pm by Peter Bodenham, a local St Dogmaels potter.
