THE launch of a free car parking trial in Carmarthenshire prompted calls for the same in Cardigan. Cllr Clive Davies argued the town was uniquely placed to carry out such a project as it could be monitored using the town’s WiFi system.

ECO-CAMPAIGNERS took to Poppit Sands beach to highlight the message of the Extinction Rebellion movement with a series of sand artworks.

AN Inquest recorded a verdict of misadventure into the death of toddler Kiara Moore, who drowned when the car she was left in unattended rolled down a slipway and into the River Teifi at Cardigan.

IT was confirmed that Cardigan Tourist Information Centre was to close as Ceredigion County Council looked to save £20,000. The move was condemned by local town councillors.

THE £20,000 refurbishment of Biroude Garden sparked a row between town mayor Cllr John Adams-Lewis and trustees at Cardigan Castle, who carried out the work. Cllr Adams-Lewis accused the castle of “acting like bully boys”.

CARDIGAN Lantern Parade again proved a huge hit, with hundreds taking part and many more lining the streets through the town.

A STRIKE ballot was held by teachers at Cardigan Secondary School after the launch of an independent investigation into allegations of bullying and harassment at the school.
