DYFED-Powys Police is appealing for two potential witnesses to come forward following the death of Mavis Bran, at the Chipoteria, Hermon, Cynwyl Elfed on October 23.
Seventy-year-old Geoffrey Bran has appeared in court charged with her murder.
Police are aware that two workmen attended the Chipoteria on the afternoon of the 23rd and were there when the ambulance arrived. They are described as white, wearing high visibility jackets. The vehicle they were in is described as a white van with writing on the side.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Jenkins said: “It is important that we speak to everyone that was there that afternoon. I would ask that these two men contact the police as they may be able to assist with our enquiries.”
Mrs Bran, 69, some years ago ran the former Tudor Restaurant in Cardigan town centre (it is now Dragon’s Wine Bar).
Anyone with information that could help the investigation can contact Carmarthen Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
