FOUR people have been fined after being found guilty of breaching planning enforcement regulations at Llangoedmor, near Cardigan.

Jeffrey Clarke, Ian Colin Critchley, Melanie Robinson and Tracey Styles, all of Corner Wood, Coedmor Woods, Langoedmor, Llechryd, Cardigan appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre to deny three charges each brought against them by Ceredigion County Council.

Clarke, aged 64, was found guilty of breaching an enforcement notice dated June 23, 2011 that between February 11 2012 and August 15, 2016 failed to cease the unauthorised use of the part of the timber shed presently being used for domestic purposes and that he also failed to remove or all domestic related furniture and fittings from within the building granted planning permission as a timber storage shed.

He was also found guilty of failing to remove caravans and vehicles adapted and used for residential purposes from the land and failed to dismantle and remove structures adapted and used for residential purposes from the land and also failed to remove all chattels and ancillary items from the land.

He was fined £100 for each offence.

He was cleared of a further charge of failing to demolish and remove from the land an unauthorised building.

Styles, aged 44, was found guilty of the same two offences as Clarke and also cleared of the third charge. She too was fined £100 for each offence.

Critchley, aged 66, and Robinson, aged 50, were both jointly charged with the same offences and were found guilty of all three charges. They were both fined £100 for each offence.

No order for costs was made.
