MAKE it in Wales is set to open a new creative hub and café in Cardigan.

The new venture, called Stiwdio 3, will open its doors on the High Street next to what used to be the old NatWest Bank Building on Saturday, December 1.

Suzi Park has been running Make it in Wales for the past three years and had been looking for a suitable venue when the new premises became available.

She will run the craft course side of the business, while Debbie Mossman will be responsible for the café and coffee shop which will run alongside it.

“Our venue will be a creative community space offering a range of craft activities, meeting and exhibition space, with the café so people can meet, eat, make and create,” said Suzi.

Make it in Wales is registered as a Community Interest Company, meaning all the profits generated go back into the business.

“We offer some great craft courses but felt we were not meeting the needs of locals and that’s where the idea of Stiwdio 3 comes from,” said Suzi.

“We want this to be a creative hub where people feel comfortable to come along and join in, meet people and make things. The ground floor will be the café area and the first floor will be for the workshops, while there is also space for a meeting room and exhibitions.

“There is very much a community side to what we are doing. We hope to inspire people to create things and would welcome any opportunities to collaborate and work alongside other businesses, makers and individuals.

“We want to build on the vibrancy of our High Street and bring something a bit different.”
