TEN-year-old Eleri Davies has had her hair cut off for the Little Princess Trust – and raised more than £1,000 at the same time.

The Drefach Felindre youngster had her long locks chopped off on Friday, (November 2) at Talking Heads hairdressers in Newcastle Emlyn.

Proud mum Emma and other members of her family watched on as hairdresser Emily Fell carefully cut off Eleri’s hair, which will now be donated to the Little Princess Trust along with the money

The Penboyr School pupil has raised just over £1,000 for the charity, which provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24 who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.

Many of Eleri’s schoolfriends donated towards the cause and mum Emma said: “I just want to say a big thank-you to all those who have supported Eleri and to Emily for all her work in cutting off her hair.”
