LLECHRYD Bridge remains the only bridge over the River Teifi to remain closed following the weekend floods.
Ceredigion County Council is currently arranging structural checks with divers in the next few days to assess the state of the bridge, which was completely submerged.
Unlike Newcastle Emlyn, Cenarth and Llandysul bridges which have re-opened following safety checks, Llechryd bridge is quite a low bridge and so officials are waiting for the water levels and current strength to drop further. Some repairs on the bridge wall is required.
A large amount of debris is lodged in the bridge arches, Natural Resources Wales has been informed and is again waiting for levels to fall before removing it.
