A MAN who stole nearly £500 from a caravan park owner at New Quay must pay back the cash and serve a community order.

Christopher Fellows, of Newman Way, Rednal, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to stealing £476.20 in cash from Pencnwc Caravan Park on August 10, 2017 when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.

The 52-year-old was ordered to pay back the money and to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months as part of a community order.

Fellows also has to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

John Anthony Boyce, aged 50, Christine Helen Cullen, aged 50, and Gemma Hayley Powell, aged 33, all from Birmingham, were jointly charged with the same offence and pleaded not guilty.

They were remanded on bail to reappear before the court on September 25 to stand trial.
