CYCLISTS from Newcastle Emlyn are back in the saddle for Bobath Wales and the Fire Fighters Charity.

On Sunday, a group of 13 cyclists set out from the town to cycle 600 miles around Wales over seven days to raise much-needed funds for the Fire Fighters Charity and Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales.

Starting and finishing at the fire station in Newcastle Emlyn, the route will take the team along the outskirts of Wales, with the riders sleeping in fire stations along with way.

“It will be a great event but also very challenging with nearly 35,000ft of climbing to achieve over seven days. It will be by far the biggest challenge I have ever attempted to do,” said Dylan Walters, cycle organiser and grandparent to a child who attends the Bobath Wales centre.
