A NEWCASTLE Emlyn accused of stalking a woman has been remanded in custody and sent for trial to Swansea crown court after allegedly entering his victim’s home while she and her family were asleep.

Rhydian Lyn Rhys Jamieson, of Cwmcou, Newcastle Emlyn, appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre where he denied a charge of harassing the woman on June 26 by entering her home.

He also denied a charge of stalking and causing serious alarm or distress to his alleged victim between January 1, 2016 and June 26 of this year. This included turning up at her home uninvited and refusing to leave and repeatedly contacting her on social media.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Swansea Crown Court on August 3.

The 21-year-old admitted further charges of driving without insurance and driving without a licence on June 26.

Magistrates fined him £120 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points. Jamieson was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
