A MOTORIST has been banned for a year after admitting drink-driving at Cardigan.
Thomas Jones, of Castell Corwg, Cilgerran, was stopped by police at Finch Square on April 21. He was found to have 47 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
The 20-year-old pleaded guilty when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre and as well as a 12-month driving ban, he was also fined £160. The bench also ordered him to pay £85 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
