A WOMAN caught drink-driving at Cardigan has been handed a 17-month ban.
Irene Mary James, from Glynarthen, was stopped by police on the A487 at Cardigan on April 15. She had 68 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
The 53-year-old driver pleaded guilty when she appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
As well as the 17-month disqualification, she was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
